Have you seen the new variations on the MVP rifle? It's what I wanted them to do with the series since I first saw them. Irons, AR mags, and a normal looking stock. It might also have a threaded barrel under that muzzle devise. The biggest news is that they are making one in .308 and it will take AR 10 mags! This makes up for the tactical lever action, and chainsaw grip in my opinion.

Also they have a version that has the flex stock system.

It does look nice, but frankly I think the stock should be polymer vs. wood. If it's supposed to be a rough and tumble combat like weapon wood is not the material for a constant exposure to weather stock system. If that sealant finish gets breached the wood will start to soak up water. The flex stock system looks nice and should work well if it does not get wiggly over time.

I was excited until I heard the MSRP.

I hope they make a high value version.

The MSRP on the standard Patrol is $681, so street should be a little lower. $600, if it is built right, is not that bad of a price for a center fire bolt gun. It would be nice if they had a good quality synthetic
Stock, but woods not bad. Why the black finish? Is it marketing, or is the wood not good looking enough for a traditional finish?

My guess the stock is to project the EBR look without spending the money to build the injection mold to do a sythetic EBR stock.

The guy in video doesn't understand "scout rifle" concept very well.
I would be interested in a synthetic version and maybe even the .308.
7.62x39 that takes AK mags?
