Local Wall Mart got 10 of the Federal 420 round ammo cans last night. I went in early as I could (called first was told two left). I am about 5 mins from there. When I got there the sporting goods counter was empty. Then see the clerk coming my way holding one can. I said. I'll take it. Asked if there were more. He said no. 4 of the cans disapeared in the night! He said that security was reveiwing the tapes to figure out where they went to. I aske if there were more available would I have been able to buy more. He said yes, three.

I am going to go back after I drop the kids at school to see if they get any more in. The can was 175.00 with tax. On stripper clips. I feel Really lucky!

Well, I had a heads up as well. A guy on another board says that he is in upper management at wall mart and has access to delivery information. I pm'd him with my location. He sent me a heads up about last nights delivery, and the one coming tonight. Gonna make another run early in the morning! 3 box limit still.

I was in our local Walmart today... Sporting goods clerk said ammo was gone in a hour after the truck showed up every delivery...

7mag, .270, 30-06, 12ga and .410 are all that is left on the shelf...

Only 30-06 rifles that I have are m1's. Wouldn't mind picking up some more .270 and .243. I do have a .410, but really don't shoot it that much. Last range outing my son shot two boxes of .243.

Picked up 2000 rounds of Tula 223 at the local Walmart today. They received 14,000 rounds in one shipment.

The ammo is dribbling out but is gone in a flash - I saw some 9mm fmj's - Federal on my Wally's shelf yesterday - but I left if for somebody that needs it more than me - I've got plenty - as long as I don't start shooting it up on the range...

Academy has not been much better... The local store has well less than half the shelf space in ammo as they have not got stock to fill the space.

I was in Beckely, WV yesterday. Went to two wall marts, A dicks, dunnahms, didn't see much in pistol ammo. Did buy some .410 shells for the FIL. And some .45 lc.

I got a 100 round box of the 7 1/2 12 gauge trap shells today, that was a triumph as their shelves have been all but bare for the past 2 months.

Shelves here have plenty of shotgun shells. Tempted to buy more. But that is the hoarder in me. (space is limited.)

I was happy as a school boy getting my first piece of ass when I picked up 2 white box Winchester 100 rnd, 165 gr .40's last week at my local wally's. Now my 6 Korean 31 rounders are happy too.
For anyone who has or plans on buying kci extended mags, you do need to take them apart and trim off the excess plastic from the inside of the mag. Not very good quality control but an easy fix with an exacto knife.
