OK, so, I have the pictures on photobucket. When I click on properties, I get javascript:void(0);. Before it would give me a url (or what ever you call it.) I can't use that to post a pic. Also, when I try to post from here it gives me two options. From computer or url. Either one won't work. Any help??

The way I install a photo here, after uploading to a photo host, then as you said right click on the picture and left click on Copy Picture URL, when you click on the Insert Image icon, click on the from URL tab, then uncheck the pre-checked box, then paste the copied URL in the available window. Click ok and the photo should show up.

I have yet to try the other options, like from the Insert Image icon try the from computer tab, or leave the box checked in the from URL tab and see if it finds anything.

Right click on the pic and you should get a pop up window that has the url path. If you can get that simply drag highlight it, slect copy then paste in the post window then put at the front end and [/im g] at the back end.

test

Nope, the upload from computer failed, and leaving the box in the from URL tab checked just bombed me out.

Try what I wrote in the previous post. Unfortunately if you can't copy the URL in photobucket for some reason, there would be no way to insert the picture anywhere.

This is what I get in my photobucket properties.

javascript:void(0);

That is when I right click on the picture.

Just copied this from my photobucket account so mine seems to be working OK.

I wonder what the reason would be that I can't copy the url?

Since when you right click on the photo in photobucket and get the error message, there must be an issue with photobucket, or the way your browser is set up. Can't help with browser setup.

Just for the heck of it, right click on Richard's photo and see if you get the correct pick off list.

Looks like it might be my browser.

What is strange is that if I go to edit your post, I see the picture.

Try as Schuetzenman said and put a before and after the picture name as it appears in the post. By the way, it seems to have copied as an attachment and not image. Strange.

Verify that Java is active on your computer. If it is, I would have to guess there is something that it and photobucket don't like each other.

Think I may know your fix. In your Photobucket account click the down arrow next to your user name in the menu bar. Click on "User settings" then "Albums" and turn on the IMG code box (that is the one gunsnet uses)...

Le Duce, when you try to edit the post that you attempted to put the picture in, do you see the picture? The reason I ask is that when I open the post as an Admin I see the picture. Normally I don't and just bring it up in a separate area and go through the copy URL stuff to add it to the original post. When I tried that with your post I see the photo, which really has me confused for the moment.

If you don't see your own picture in the edit window, add the before and after the photo name and see what happens.

Ok, I figured that since I see the photo in the edit window but not the thread, I right clicked on it and opened it in a new tab, then with the full size picture I right clicked on it and got the standard menu, so I clicked on copy photo url, went back to your post and used the insert image icon and now can see both the picture and it's "dot jpg" name.

And I still don't understand, but you are getting closer.

Sometimes when I want to attach a file it will give me the option to submit, and sometimes not. Oh well.

I just went to my library in photobucket and did the following:

-Held the pointer on the "cog" that appeared when I moved my pointer over the picture I wanted.
-selected "Get links..." when the menu popped up.
-went down to the IMG codes and left clicked on it
-It then automatically copies the IMG code for you
-then right click and paste here on the forums
