If you’re a conservative who, for whatever reason, has to keep your kids in public school, you remind yourself daily that you’re going to have to counter the Leftist propaganda the schools deliver to your children. Nothing, however, can prepare you for what one Texas mom learned about her son’s school: it’s teaching children that the United States is primarily responsible for the 9/11 attack that killed almost 3,000 people.
Kara Sands, of Corpus Christi, Texas, has a son who is a 5th grader at Flour Bluff Intermediate School. He came home one day with a test about 9/11. Number 3 on this multiple choice test was a shocker. The question was “Why might the United States be a target for terrorism?” The correct answer was “Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere.” In other word, America deserved to be attacked and Americans deserved to die.
This inappropriate test question came from a provider called Safari Montage. Bad enough on its own, it rubbed nerves that were already raw in Texas. That’s because Texas is one of several states across America that has enacted the “CSCOPE curriculum.”
