When will we be able to get the album?
Tomorrow we go back into the studio for the day to do some final mastering/mixing, then we will download it to the internet websites, like cdbaby, amazon, itunes, tunecore, and a few others so they take a few days to load and get up online.
Im hoping that by mon of next week it will be online for sale.
Hard copies are a little tougher as we have to go through the process of artwork other than the cover ( its already picked out ) and getting them pressed.
That takes two or three weeks, depening on our initial order. I think we are going to do 5k.
Then those are sent by our company to a large distribution corp, who send them to the music stores on our sell list.
We are thinking southwest only, but its hard to say, we are low on the totem poll. We have a company who will be selling them in Germany in record stores, but getting into US record stores are alot harder, as the are disapearing actually, more people buy music online than anywhere else...
Yea it sucks. Its not exactly an easy thing to go through when you just want to put out a record nowdays.
We will have some marked press, a kind of overflow for the band to promote with and give away, so when we get those Ill send some out to ya!

As a friend said, if this doesn't send shivers down your spine, you probably don't have one...
LYRICS:
Somewhere in the world
Are friends I've missed from long ago
Could be drifting by the wayside
Or even dead - I just donīt know
And now my memories are fading
...Like melting footprints in the snow
Sometimes a dream will haunt me
And I see a young girl's face
Was she once for real
And did she really share my space
Within the swirling mists of time
It's hard to keep a track of year and place
I thought about my mother
When she was young and on the road
Hanging out with my musicians
Or camping out in forest groves
Like gray mists conceal horizons
I miss those times we'll share no more
So far my life's a journey
And I wouldn't change for anything
All those years of bold adventures
The highs and lows that make me sing
Within the swirling mists of time
Such sweet memories still often ring.

ian anderson-one of the great flute players
Had a cup of coffe with these guys when i was 17
me and two of my friends went to see them at the travel lodge theater in phoenix. After the show we snuck into the center courtyard of the motel and waited for them to come out of the theater. In those days we thought all rock and rollers were drugged out crazy guys( the way ian anderson ran around on stage it was easy to believe) When they walked into the court yard we said hello and to our surprise they were really cool guys they invited us back to their room for a cup of coffee before they got on the bus for their show in tucson the next night. The one thing that sticks with me to this day is how nice these guys were to us( and the fact that they weren't fucked up druggies), i mean we were three dumb high school kids and they treated us like we were friends, they asked us about the weather in phoenix, our families and what we were going to do with our lives.....i never think about those times anymore, but this old music has sent me back.....for awhile

It is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to know
You are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before.
It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low.
It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom.
Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune.
Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from
time to time.
Talk Talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought YOU would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us...
But I know that I love you so
These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion - I seek the torch we all must hold.
This is the mystery of the quotient - Upon us all a little rain must fall...It's just a little rain...
"The Rain Song" is a love ballad of over 7 minutes in length. Guitarist Jimmy Page originally constructed the melody of this song at his home in Plumpton, England, where he had recently installed a studio console. A new Vista model, it was partly made up from the Pye Mobile Studio which had been used to record the group's 1970 Royal Albert Hall performance and The Who's Live at Leeds album.
Page was able to bring in a completed arrangement of the melody, for which singer Robert Plant composed some lyrics. These lyrics are considered by Plant himself to be his best overall vocal performance.
The song also features a mellotron played by John Paul Jones to add to the orchestral effect, whilst Page played a Danelectro guitar.
John Paul Jones played the low end string part on a real cello, partly bowed and partly plucked. He had earlier played cello and did string arrangements for the Yardbirds with Jimmy Page on the album Little Games when he was a session musician.
George Harrison was reportedly the inspiration for "The Rain Song" when he made a comment to Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, about the fact that the group never wrote any ballads.
In tribute to Harrison, the opening two notes are recognizably borrowed from his ballad "Something.

Interesting side note on Jerry Cantrell: I know for a fact he like to shoot and hunt. One of my buddies is his cousin. His dad lives across the road from Jerry's "J&J Ranch." In fact my buddy's dad's house is where part of the video for the song "rooster" was filmed. From what I can tell, him and his family are pretty cool folks. In fact my buddy used to be one of my instructors in college. He showed me pictures of him passed out drunk on Jerry's tour bus during class, lol. Supposedly, after Layne Staley OD'd Jerry quit doing any drugs at all. In fact, i don't even think he really drinks anymore. Nice to hear that it at least served as a wake up call.
