I was in Huntsville at the infamous "Walls Unit" for some classes and my group took a tour of the unit. Let me say it was chilling to stand in the room and touch the gurney were 459 men and 2 women have died since 1982. That said, I am still a firm supporter of the death penalty and am even considering working at the Walls Unit in the future.

Corrections is a tough gig. I don't envy you guys. I would have no problem, however, with the job of throwing that switch...in most cases.

Yea.. its a different world than when I worked on the streets, however at least I know that everyone around me is a convicted felon. You street cops don't have that advantage, believe me, I don't envy you ether Brother!

Rusty,

I was in there several years ago...I was surprised how small the room really was.

Hea man, Glad you decided to come back to the finest firearms forum on the net!

Yep, the death chamber is very small, heck you cannot even walk all the way around the gurney!
