I'm going to shoot some this weekend - but I was thinking of pulling one and checking the bullet - but I can look at the primer hole too.... the bullet is VERY magnetic - my other SS109 stuff is magnetic but much weaker - makes me wonder if the bullets are steel jacket instead of a steel core...

I'm with you there. I don't even own anything that shoots this but if history is any indicator this will eventually dry up but it will increase in price before it does. It's surplus so there's a finite amount. Lucky for me I get it cheaper than any of these prices. I know someone, ;)

Note: I know this is higher than you may have seen but the price of this is up now and this is the cheapest you'll find. The Yugo is going away so get it while you can. I just got another 2 cases. Here's a tip too. If you order more than 1 case order them seperately. The shipping for one to me in Louisiana from Tennessee was $31.26 and for 2 it would have been $79 if I put them on the same order. I called them and Chris told me it has to do with the weight and how the shipping calculator generates it's charges. He told me to order each case seperately. I saved $16 this way. I also put a note in the instructions box on the additional order that it wasn't a duplicate. I only wish I'd have bought them when they were $174 a case earlier this year. This makes 3 cases of this and 2 of the 1260rd cases I have now. I bet I'll kick myself for not buying more later.

I can't really say for sure but from what I've seen, the price trend for all Yugo on strippers is upward. The Armory had this same ammo for $179/1120 and $174/1120 if you bought more than one case. It's now at $233. Aim Surplus is sold out. I asked Bryan the president of AIM if he was getting anymore and he told me the last order he made for multiple skids of this was canceled from overseas due to lack of product. Chris At Wideners told me today that it's getting low and the ad they have states "THIS IS THE LAST OF THE YUGO 762x39 ON STRIPPERS."
Eric aka Ammoman has raised his price 3 times from a starting price of $229 in June to $259 at the moment. A lot of others have simply sold out of the stripper stuff. There seems to be a fair amount of the non-stripper stuff for now but who knows the way they're shooting it up in the middle east and I do mean up, as in up in the air.

One thing else to note is Chris at Wideners told me that anyone interested in the IMI 223/556 better stock up becuase it's going away too. He said he figures about 2 to 6 weeks and he'll be sold out.

Yeah I don't know what to think of that. Everyone was scared Obama was going to go after guns but instead he's giving them away. Well to drug dealers but the point is he didn't go after them "this" time. Let's just hope he doesn't get another chance. It could get real ugly then. I know one thing. If there is another run on ammo. I'm good. I was posting in another forum about stocking up and I have so it won't affect me. Prices are fairly stable right now and it's the begining of the slow season for ammo purchases. They're based out of Texas but their manufacturing is in Idaho. Oh and here's a heads up if you shoot 7.62x54R, SGAmmo is selling the last of his Russian crates that have been about the cheapest going for almost a year. They're $139.95+$26SH/880rd in the original wooden crate with opener. He said the price went up on the next shipment.

I have a bunch of their stuff. Good stuff. No FTF, FTE or short stroking. It's accurate and fairly clean. Keep an eye on this place. You're going to see more of them especially now. I know one of the owners and he said they're going to have a price increase at or around the end of this month but they're still going to be cheaper than anyone else especially for .223/5.56. Gentlemen, the ammo run has started and it's going to be harder and harder to find a lot of ammo epecially .223/5.56 and 9mm at anything close to a decent price if you can even find it.

My best advice is to only buy what you need to get through the election and beyond. Don't buy like it's for the rest of your life. Things will settle down later this year I suspect.

I just picked up a 1,200 round case of Israeli M855 (SS109) from Widener's for $408. Shipping was $20 from Tennessee to Texas. I don't really shoot much M855. It's strictly for the Zombie Apocalypse/Democrat Insurrection. Range days are done with the cheapest brass-cased 55-grain that I can find in my AR's and Russian stuff for my .223 AK's.

I just talked to Sam at SGAmmo and he said that 5 containers of this came in and there's supposed to be 15 more on the way. You may want to hold off buying this. Sorry but I didn't know about Sam getting these in until he returned my email and he said he'll most likely be selling them significantly cheaper but we'll see. Depending on where you are will make the difference in shipping. He's supposed to have them tomorrow or monday so I'll list them when he gets them in. He also said it's 1945-53, lead core steel jacketed and some is Russian and Yugo. He said each container is 740 crates so that will give you an idea how many are coming it. They're being imported by ATI.
