idk why your getting videos from registered sex offenders, but it might help getting an answer if you mentioned what kind of video your trying to open.

What video format is the file? And what OS are you using?

For Windoze and a free video player that plays most formats, try this: http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

I suggest the "Full" pack. And, setup Media Player Classic as the default video viewer (in place of Windows Media Player). It's a lot more versatile and doesn't have all that plugin / DRM / licensing / report-back-to-Microsoft crap in it.

Lastly, what are you dry firing? Most pistols can be safely dry fired, some are slowly but surely damaged by dry firing and a few must NEVER be dry fired (like a Luger P-08). The striker is made out of steel harder than glass. One dry fire and it will crack. I think they were overhardened when they were made (or not drawn out properly after heat treat) or else the alloy age hardened over the years, but they are BRITTLE!

Be sure your pistol(s) can be safely dry fired before you do it (or use snap caps - and use the good ones with a spring in them).

Try VLC: http://www.videolan.org/

Has built in codecs for most needs, plays almost everything.

I second the K-Lite Codec Pack, with Media Player Classic, which loads and seeks faster than VLC in most cases:

http://www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_codec_pack_download.htm (Download the version 9.9 FULL.)

VLC isn't bad, works well with Linux, but for older Windows machines its a bit clumsy and slow.
