This is the Churchill size offering.

They sport a beautiful band...

This is kind of an odd deal. But I'm pretty sure I know what the issue is, mostly. First off if you'll look at the 2nd photo I posted you'll notice that cigar has a nice medium brown colorado wrapper. But these latest ones I got in are much darker and the wrapper is courser.

I'm not real sure just what the deal is with the wrapper. To my knowledge the La Aroma "red foot", only comes in one wrapper offering. :confused1:

Now I've smoked La Aroma's before, in fact my latest two before this stick were great! The two I enjoyed so much were gifts from CigarGuy.

This cigar that I'm reviewing today was pretty disappointing. The first 3rd was bad, kind of bland and sort of bitter. If this had been a stick from an unknown company, I would have pitched it. But since it was a La Aroma, I decided to stick it out. Its good I did because it did get better, the 2nd half was pretty decent. Coffee, leather, tobacco. But still not as good as I think these should be. No, I believe these are in that dreaded zone that many cigars go through. Not young and fresh, but not mature and settled in. No these need some humidor time. I've set them aside and will revisit them this winter. Kind of a bummer, but whatever.

I thought the wrapper was supposed to be Conn Broadleaf, which should be a dark Maduro.

That appears to be what these have on them, but all of the photo's I've seen of these show a smoother, lighter wrapper.:cigarsmoking:

The wood is cocobolo. This thing is pretty well made, IIRC I bought it off Pipes & Cigars. Not sure who made it?
