Gorgeous little number here from Perdomo. Beautiful milk chocolate wrapper and a very tasteful pair of bands.

This cigar has a good draw and seems to be very well rolled. In fact it had no draw or burn issues at all and I nubbed this thing. ;)

From the outset theres coffee, leather and at times a hint of fresh brewed tea. You know how in the summer you make sun tea on the patio and that first glass is so fresh and tasty, this stick, at times, made me think of that.

This is what I would call mild to medium in strength and medium bodied. Its much more substantial than a Don Diego, but still mild enough to enjoy with coffee in the morning. :coffee:

I wouldn't call this a complicated smoke, but I would call it a good cigar that I'd like to smoke again. I'm keeping an eye out for them, I'd like to have a box of this exact size. Great for morning or after lunch.

I'd give it an honest 88 rating, I like it! :)

This was yet another gift from our guy CG, his generosity just keeps on impressing me. :santa2:

Never had a Perdomo but I remember Don diego Coronas fondly as a really good cigar that I could afford to smoke once a week. Sit back in my recliner, put on a little music by Villa-Lobos and an unhealthy amount of Jack Daniels with ice in my big mug and I was a happy relaxed man for an hour.

Don Diego was my first "favorite cigar", mild and tasty but after a while, too mild, especially if one smokes every day. They've always had good construction and are very consistent year to year. They beat the hell out of a Macanudo. ;)

Nick Perdomo is one of the good guys in the industry. When that stupid tax was imposed for child health care he LOWERED his prices to offset and did the "Scooner Tuna" thing. ( reference to "mr mom" for those less hip than I )
He also tells the story of his factory in Nicaragua. Flies a HUGE American flag in front. Was visited by the local Socialist government official with his hand out. Made him wait 4 hours to see him. When he did see him and tried to shake him down, Nick said "F you!" And shut down the plant. All these poorer then dirt workers were fired. A couple days later they came begging for him to reopen.
I always try to support him.
