Okay, both of these items were new to me, I had never smoked a Por Larranaga cigar, nor had I ever drank any Larceny bourbon.
The cigar came in the corona sampler I got from FOH, and the bourbon I had been seeing in the stores the past year or so and finally decided to give it a try. It didn't hurt that the hooch was on sale for $20 a fifth. ;)

The PL corona is not a large cigar, it weighs in at 5" x 42, nor is it expensive, if you buy a 50 cab, they're just under $5 per stick.
At the light it was pretty peppery, along with cedar and leather. The pepper didn't stick around long it was soon replaced by a sweeter, milder spice note. During the second 1/3 of this stick I got the occasional floral note and a hint of something I'd almost describe as being minty. At about the 1/2 way point the floral and mint notes vanished and I started to get a bit of coffee and vanilla, which was quite nice. Toward the end it picked up strength just a bit and hints of the pepper returned. With about an inch remaining it started to get bitter so I ditched it, but thats rather common in smaller sticks. All in all, pretty good smoke, especially considering the cost.
As for the bourbon, not bad, not at $20 a jug. Caramel, oak and sweet corn, very similar to Makers, and much less expensive. I'd say its a worth candidate for your rotation all things considered.

I must admit the Kentuckian whiskey is good!
