This is another of the smaller Cuban sticks I got in the FOH sampler. I was really intrigued by this one as some of the comments and reviews I had read about the brand made it sound exceptional. Not a big cigar at 4 1/4" x 40. Nice band and the wrapper looks good.

At the light I notice the draw on this stick is a bit tight, not tear the condom tight, but tighter than I like. :rotflmbao:
Kind of peppery up front with some cedar and leather. This little cigar at the outset at least, has more power than I would have guessed, not Bolivar strong, but really close to say Partagas strength. This surprises me because everything I had read led me to anticipate something roughly between say a Hoyo and a Montecristo. I dunno, this may have been a by product of the fact that to get much smoke from this thing I had to herf on it like a bum on a jug of Night Train. I really don't like a tight draw, it just screws everything up. My pipe tool has an awl like spike attachment to it that works well for occasions such as this. After 3 or 4 rammings it loosens up some and is at least smokable.
Once the damn thing would draw a bit it tasted better. Coffee and floral notes with spice and caramel occasionally. This thing actually has some decent complexity. I'm thinking a better rolled example would actually be damned good. :)
If bought by the box these sell at around $5.50 per. At that price, assuming it has a good draw, its a fine value and really good smoke. I'm also now intrigued by the notion of a larger vitola of the same brand.
