Okay, got some of these when I ordered the Bolivar's. As I had hoped, they are basically the polar opposite of a Bolivar. These are fairly mild, sweet and nutty tasting. If your a fan of the better Dominican cigars I'm sure you'd like these. These remind me of the last Davidoff I smoked.

These are a good sized smoke at 7" x 47.

Not the most attractive band you'll see. I can't figure why they wouldn't use something more interesting.

These really are a tasty number. Caramel with the occasional citrus or mint note. At times they make me think of hot chocolate with melted marshmallow stirred in. These are good after breakfast, or, as I did last night, with a whiskey, or 4. :smiley_freak:

Speaking of whiskey, I got a wild hare last night and broke out my jug of Redbreast 12. This stuff is about as good, IMO, as Irish hooch gets. As most of you know I'm basically a bourbon and rye man. But changing things up with something like the Redbreast or Double Wood is nice too.

In closing, I like the Imperial, its a nice change of pace smoke and doesn't really resemble the other cuban sticks I've got. Reasonably priced too, if bought by the box. These were $8.40 per. An Ashton Classic for example at my local B&M runs about $14.00.

Decided to try another of the Quai D' Orsay's. Think I'll pair it with a wee bit of rye. ;)

Cubano tobaco and Redbreast 12! Aw, MAN!!!! That's like, my last meal request right there!

The Redbreast 12 is worth every penny! @ $50 a bottle in these parts. I tried the 15 and didn't like it as much, but that's just me. (after 12 years the flavor of whiskey get's a little higher and dryer. I like that rich, candy-ass tasting stuff! JMHO)

Glad to hear you're living it up in fine style my friend! Enjoy!

;) thanks, Brother.

I've never seen the 15. I can only get the 12 in two stores here in JC, but, its under $40 a jug, must be a tax thing.
The 12 is good tho, I like it. Cheap Irish taste like gasoline, no check that, gasoline tastes better, but good Irish whiskey is worth keeping on ones shelf.

Also, if one is comfortable ordering Cubans on the net, they are no higher priced than decent smokes at a B&M, thats why I always point out the price of these. The worst that can happen is I'll get "the letter" from customs and have to curtail this tom foolery. I mean geeze, its not like I'm ordering black tar on The Silk Road or something. :ylsuper:

Hey Doc, clear out your PM cache, I'm trying to message you.

And as far as the Redbreast I've never heard of it but it looks primo. Bushmills was one of my main libations back in my whisky drinkin' daze.

D'oh!

Cleaned!

Yeah, that Redbreast 12 is bar-none one of my favorite drams of all time. Really smooth with a unique kind of coffee note to it.

I used to drink a lot of Bushmills too, but I sort of gravitated to Tullamore Dew after a while. (I probably couldn't tell them apart in a blind taste test though...)
