Well hello Bobski and welcome to Gunsnet.net. With an ending of Cheers I would think you from Great Britain.

Nothing wrong with that. My first shotgun was an old Remmington 870. Wood stock, pump action... Nothing "Tactical" about it. But I do plan on getting a Mossburg 590 with a collapsible stock, pistol grip and vertical foregrip as well as a picatinny rail for sights.

Welcome to the site! Be careful though. I like old guns but after being here for a few years I built an AR just to see if I could and now it is one of my favorite guns to shoot. Looking forward to seeing you around the conversations.

As long as it's northern New England you're okay :p

I had a Remington 1187 for a bit. I liked it but got rid of it because I want a pump.

I guess that's okay. As long as it isn't Mass!

I have a military Remington model 11 made in WWII, it was my Dad's. He got it when they closed his Army Air Corp base at the end of the war. However I can't remember the last time I actually shot it. Probably sometime in the 1970's.

i won a usgi rem 11 with crossed cannons and flaming bomb marks at a shoot at nas oceana va. in 1994. it was a 1st place prize. the mwr had them since ww2 in an armory and they wanted to get rid of them, so the skeet range held a match and they gave 2 away for prizes.

I have a LeFever 12 double barrel and 3 or 4 old Stevens double barrels (.410, 2-20 gauges, and 1 or 2-12 gauges). All are in great shape and good shooters. Not sure how old they are, but the LeFever is older than the others.

When I rabbit hunted, I used a CVA single shot muzzle loader, but it'a modern made one.

For older shotguns, I prefer double barrels.

I have a LeFever Nitro Express Double, but it needs restocked. It and an old Diamond Single are wall hangers right now.
