The last post was by me on May 27.

Since then, I have put 70# limbs on my Mathews S2.

I added a HHA OL5519 Sight.

I toyed with a Whisker Biscuit but I soon put my QAD Ultra Rest back on.

I tried out some Easton Axis Realtree 400's and I found out that the shiny finish on them makes them a bitch to fletch.

Right now, I am in the process of fetching some 2117 Camo Hunters with 2" Blazers. It takes me a while to fletch a dozen shafts because I use Fletchtite Platinum and I give each vane at least 25 to 30 minutes....usually longer than that to dry.

I bought myself a Bowmaster portable bow press. It actually works really well. It was well worth the less than $50.00 shipped that I paid for it.

I am hoping to get away in November for a 3 day Hogg and deer hunt.

Anyone else getting ready for hunting season?

I also bought another Tradtech Titan ILF Riser.

I will hunt just about anything if I have the opportunity. I work to much. Like I said, I am going to try and get away for 3 days in November for a deer/Hogg hunt . Try is the key word. If I kill something, I will be thrilled. If I don't, I will still be thrilled to have been lucky enough to get away for a few days. I did go Turkey hunting specifically a few years ago. It was local. It was late March through April on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It was a quota hunt. Only a limited number through the gate everyday. It was a Public Land hunt where they allowed guns and archery. I didn't see any Turkeys but I heard plenty. I am going to try and do it again next year.

I love archery but have not shot a bow in years. My wife and I are talking about doing archery together. Here in the DC area they have some archery clubs that will provide instruction and equipment so she can try it out before we have to purchase anything. Looking forward to it.

This was oct 1st, just before pre-rut. There were 5 bucks that came in together when I got this one. He was ethier fighting or broke it peeling velvet. Not really a bruser, but a very good buck for around here.

Holy cow, that's a monster! Very nice, congrats.
Wish we could grow them that big here. Our soil is crap in this area, hard to keep them fed.
