I was wondering what everyone's experience and opinions on Victor Sinclair cigars are. I see them advertised at lower prices than quite a few other premium brands they seem to compete with. Even some the VS samplers are double what other makers offer. They look to be well very well made and come in a variety of blends.

Are they worth a try? Any specific recommendations to try first? I like anything in the mild-medium to medium-full range.

I am not familiar with this brand. I'm sure one of the resident cigar experts will chime in. You could buy one and let us know your impressions.

Been years but I guess nothing impressed me back then?

I've smoked VS cigars over the years & have liked them. They seem to be an above-average smoke @ below-average prices, or so that appears to be their marketing strategy.

I've recieved them in the past in sampler packs from Thompson Cigar Co. The Connecticut-wrapper ones were actually pretty good, at least for me as I tend to prefer a mild-to-medium stogie. They also come in a darker Maduro-style wrap. For the $$$ I think they're worth giving a try.

Thanks Mr. K. I think I'll give them a try when I free some space in the treasure chest.

CI is a pretty awesome company. Living out here on the ends of the earth, I don't have a local guy to buy from........ come to think of it, I don't know of any decent tobacco shop in AK anymore.

Anyways, I have to order nearly everything I buy, and I was lucky to run across them.

Howdy Steve, years ago my local brick and mortar carried Victor Sinclair cigars and they had a churchill in a natural wrapper that I like. For whatever reason they quit stocking them and I basically forgot about the brand.

Then I started buying from CI and Cbid (same company) and noticed they sold lots of stuff by VS. I tried a large sampler CI had on a special and it was a mixed bag to say the least. A few of them were pretty decent, some were bad tasting and some had little flavor at all.

if you decide to try them just be sure they've been heavily discounted. Otherwise I wouldn't personally recommend them.

Thanks Jefferson. I'll keep that in mind.
