Oh my, what a magical and near perfect pairing! :boobzji3:
These two played off each other in a way I've seldom encountered. The bite and astringent spice of the rye really brought out the sweetness and toffee flavors of the RA. Damn, am I psyched I have a box of these bitches coming! Hell yeah! ;)
The RASS is a nice size stick at 50 x 5". It's about an hour to an hour and 15 minute smoke, and its sweet and tasty the entire length.

The Rittenhour Rye really needs no hype here, we've discussed it several times. Suffice it to say it has spice, punch and just enough sweetness to make it a great, IMO, whiskey to drink neat or over a "cube".
Back to the RASS, the RASS starts out stout, lots of white pepper, leather and sharp cedar. After that it mellows a bit and the toffee (think heath bar) flavors take over. At this point its sweet and chocolaty with some awesome burnt sugar notes. It continues in this mode till its nubbed, tho its gets a bit stronger toward the end. None of this is unpleasant, this is a "great" cigar from start to finish and well worth the $180 to $225 price per 25 sticks you normally see.
This, is a regular rotation worthy smoke!!!! ;)
