Do you know if the bolt hold open is inch or metric? I am looking for an inch bolt hold open that has the pin so the bolt locks open in the last shot. Mine lacks the pin.

This is, I believe, a British Mk2 BHO. I cannot remember, or really if I even know, if it ever held the bolt open. I had an L1A1 at one time where I replaced some parts. Can't remember if this is one of them. Same goes for the gas plug. I believe it was an extra I bought for my L1A1 but honestly cannot remember.
