Damn :smiley_freak: Way more money tied up in bolt on stuff than what the gun cost up front. To me that's crazy for a 22. But to each their own.

The sight looks like a cheap aimpoint knockoff.

The 10/22 is about $250 new.The add on crap is over a grand plus.

As cool as some of those new chassis systems are,I cannot find any reason to buy one for my 10/22.If I wanted a tactical looking .22 I'd buy a dedicated AR .22 or something. My 10/22 is fine as it is.I had the barrel of mine threaded 1/2x28 and a new front sight installed. My intention was for a suppressor.I bought a used barrel for the process and still have the original factory barrel.

The thing I can't get past, is that if I could justify spending that much on a tacticool 22, I'd just use the cash for more ammo for my Bushmaster.

I can see a nicer stock, bull barrel, trigger group, whatever, but dang the one AKT posted a pic of is crazy. At the end of the day it's still just a 22. :)

Yes sir it is crazy.I was looking for a bull barrel and stock set and came across that bullshit looking 10/22.How tactical is a .22LR anyway?

Just a .22? I hear that you can shoot a helicopter down with one! I think someone on this forum proposed that theory.:lool:

F@#k those damn Chipmunks. with all their racing around BS, they are not only asking for it, they have it coming. :fighter2:

I’ve been looking at building a 10-22 myself. for some reason the Ruger stock just seem to be the only ones that work with the rifle. If I can’t find one, I’m going to make a band for a bull barrel and modify one of these to accept it.

Those are nice looking stocks.

My uncle has been carving stocks for over 40 years. The detail is remarkable. It is hard to see the depth in the pictures but when you pick one up it is definitely something to appreciate. The one with my initials on it was a gift, the other two I traded a double barrel shotgun for.
I have a couple of old style NDS-22 receivers to go with them. I plan on going with internally suppressed barrels and first class internals, so the money situation is holding the builds up.
Still, one day I will have a couple of very nice 22’s

They actually hold up very well. I’ve been hunting with the one to the left for many years and it still looks great.
But.... it’s not something I would want bouncing around the back of a pickup truck. :)

I like iron sights myself.
This is one of the old style NDS-22 receivers. It takes standard AR sights.
I doubt I will put any optics on it, but if I change my mind, they should work OK with the sights.

A band might add pressure to the barrel??

For whatever reason he stopped milling them in one piece like this. He has attachments for his new receiver that will get it close but not as simple. I picked these up a long time ago and the consecutive serial numbers are 2 digits. :)

Thanks!
I need the band more for cosmetic reasons than anything else. I’m hoping It will not effect the accuracy?

This is the barrel that I plan on going with.

That’s not a very good picture, but it is internally suppressed. the suppressor is also removable for cleaning. :cool1:

I tried the Tactical look on one of my 10/22's, but realized all I was trying to do was make it look more like an AR. Now I have an AR in .22 and couldn't be happier with it.
My 10/22's still look like 10/22's. I do have one with a threaded barrel I use with a suppressor mounted in a BC stock.
I never had much luck with high cap mags for a 10/22 either. The tens work just fine.

When all is said and done, you still have a .22 rf. That's a lot of money wasted that could have been spent on other things.
