Hey, Chilrens, hope youse guys are rocking your weekend as well as I am! :naughty:
Okay, as promised, I'm getting around to some of the "box pass" sticks that found their way to middle Mizzou.

First, This Vintage Macanudo. Wasn't sure what to expect from this cigar. Years ago in the mid-80's when I first took up cigars Mac's were one of the "premium" sticks I smoked and shared when I was trying to impress folks.
Anyway, the white and green labeled Mac's eventually proved to be too mild, so I moved on.
This cigar tho, doesn't suffer from that........ it has a nice medium heft. Its a nice leathery, sweet tobacco'y smoke. Oh yeah, this is a good smoke, it has a nice caramel sweetness very much like a Quai D'orsay. Thats high praise for a light/medium smoke.
Tell you what, this was a nice stick, and would be great after breakfast with strong coffee cigar.
Thanks, Matt, I genuinely enjoyed this cigar!
I knew when paring this stick, I needed to give it some thought, and act accordingly.
Like many of you, I read online a lot about both cigars, and whisk(e)y.
If you're going to have a successful pairing, you need to match up similar products. That said, I went with the 10 year Glenmorangie scotch, with this fine smoke.

The Glenmorangie is subtle, sweet, and fairly complex. There's a lot going on here. Light smoke, sweet fruit, and a bit of a floral taste thats hard to describe. Suffice it to say; this is a tasty, easy to drink whisky.
This was a nearly perfect pairing. Nice!
Thanks again, Matt! ;)
Now, here in about an hour, I'll be grilling some cow. Have fun, kids!!! :)
