Does anyone have any practical experience with these? I really like the concept.

no, but im curious to see the replys.

ive been looking at them for a while. ive been thinking of the 1911 model since i can get a frame easier than a glock frame, and ripping apart a working pistol to use it dosent sit well with me.

People don't like these because they don't see the use in pistol-caliber carbines (not even for plinking). I however, like the idea. I have never owned a Glock, so I've never wanted one.

But another out there is...

And that's $200 added because it's a SBR...

I like the idea of it. I could wear the Glock around camp, and if I wanted to take a walk I could turn it into a rifle. Granted a 9mm rifle isn't exactly deer quality but it would be great for groundhogs, crows, etc.

Everything I've read about them says that they are reliable. I'm seriously considering ordering one for Christmas.

Definitely keep us updated. I'm interested myself.

I think I'd rather got with a Glock AR lower instead of the Mech-Tech.
