I used to HATE Mondays. This one will be pretty good I think. I picked up a bottle of Elmer T. Lee sour mash bourbon. Its bottled at 90* with no age statement other than "aged". $25/750. I believe this is produced by Buffalo Trace...I could be wrong as I haven't researched this one other than a You Tube review from Ralphy. He couldn't say enough good about it and guess what...he is right again. Rich, sultry and not too sweet. Very rewarding spirit.

Smoking a Bolivar Torpedo from Cuba via Jefferson City, MO. What can I say, El Jefe hasn't steered me wrong yet...this one is no exception. Thanks bro.

Cheers you reprobate denizens of "The Humidor". I hope your week is starting out as good as mine.

No Cubano Bolivar here....just an A. Fuente Gran Reserva along w/ a few glasses of chilled Soave.

Feels like fall is moving in here, cool crisp weather perfect for sitting outside and smoking a good stick along with a little vino.

I hope all my bros in the Humidore are doing well, & enjoying your lives.

What is this "cool, crisp weather" that you speak of?

Something you're not familiar with in FL, no doubt. ;)

Glad to see you back in the mix here buddy. I can't remember specifics about the Lee, other than it was very good. I need to revisit it soon. If you see a bottle grab it.

I'll keep an eye out, but here in the hinterlands we don't see the variety you townies do. ;)

Black label 86*. Its my "go to" bourbon. I do enjoy their single barrel vintage offerings though...

Did you ever try the 4 Roses yellow label?

Matt (my eldest) and I took down a trellis this morning and disassembled it to salvage lumber and hardware, in the anticipation of building our temporary boat building barn.

To celebrate, I'm burning an Edmundo, and having a glass of Dickle-12. ;)

We're going to build this:

I did try their small batch and liked it. What is the yellow label exactly?

Hey looks like a helluva project. Cool that you are involving your son and teaching him. Put up a few pics of the project if you get a chance. I'd love to see it.

Heh, you'll be lucky if I don't beg you to come turn it, Bro. ;)

The yellow label, is 4-Roses entry product. For years it has been the best selling whiskey in Japan. Which is fucked, but whatever.

This boat project is something the boys are excited about, and something the wife and I'll do when we're truly old.

I'm fascinated by our river system, let alone the great loop. http://www.captainjohn.org/GL-5-Scoop.html

I've seen houseboats on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. It definitely appeals to me as a vacation.
