It was a great time for Gunsnet and C&R imports and the forums. I look at that photo and most of those in that image do not post on Gunsnet anymore.

Missing in no particular order; Mike TV, Ceestand, BMW Guy, Bllslvn, BGummer, Gr8Scott, Wolfie and people I can't even remember. Then you have those that have passed like Salbo and Zouave, though he wasn't at that shoot. He did finally get to one, the last one as it turned out in 2006 I think it was.

Good times and unfortunately I don't ever see that level of spirit coming back. There isn't the flow of C&R firearms to spark the enthusiasm.

Can't believe that it was 10 years ago. Plus I haven't been to that particular range in some time. It is still active for private training. The Dr. and I are still good friends. We went out to his farm a few weeks ago and tried to let my Son shoot a deer.

Thanks Smitty and everyone else that attended. Those were great times. It is nice, and warms my heart that you guys remembered the shoots. It was a ton of work, heartache and headache. But worth it looking back that it brought so many great memories to the great bunch of folks that I have met here.

You're welcome Paul and I have to say that I really miss those annual shoots. It wasn't a competition, but it was a great social gathering. I wish I had been able to make all of them.

It would be good to get back together again, even if it's just to B.S.

Actually no that's just a CETME being held by former member Wolvie.

Things have been pretty good. I honestly stopped coming around here to save money to buy a house. Two years ago the wife and I bought a house in WV and moved lock stock and barrel. It's an old house that we have been fixing up (built in 1895, even has telegraph wire up in the attic!). Now that things are calming down financially from that I'm starting to buy guns again. Getting harder to pick off deals now though. So it dawned on me this morning to come here and see who is still around. It's good to see some of the old gang still posting!

Hi Bgummer! Wow, 9 days since you made that post. There is so little traffic here I forget to check most days. If you do pick up something C&R ish please post about it.

Talk about a blast from the past. :) I guess the forum has changed a bit since I was last here since I had to re-register to log in. I recognize a few of the names from he old days, hopefully everyone is doing o.k.
I was at 2 of the shoots, not sure how many in total there were. First time I brought the camper and the second time we stayed at the hotel that used to be a women's prison IIRC?

It was a great time, Swingset's (sparkly cowboy hat) band playing (with Paul guest staring on the drums for a few songs) and shooting the car at night with all the propane tanks in it. Paul's awesome hosting and cooking was a treat as well.
I miss the glory days of the C&R scene!

I found this pic of me in another thread on here.
