At the risk of being labeled a kook... I make this disclaimer.

99.9% of what I see pictured as moon anomalies just looks like plain old rocks to me. But every once and a while someone finds something that makes me go "Hmmmmm...." Yes, I know if you look at this stuff long enough you can see any damn thing you want to, and this is some pretty nutty fringe stuff, but the pictures are still interesting.

Most of the shots on www.thelivingmoon.com have links or at least tell what the source material was. One thing I wish they would do is give some idea of scale for the pictures. Most of the stuff shown in these pics must be on a pretty big scale.

If you have any other favorites please post them.

This does not look like a rock to me.

Ooh! I love this one! I'll play!

"Castle" is one of my favorites, as it is probably one most obvious anomalies up there:

Exactly WTF is this?

FWIW, I've met Buzz Aldrin and he stated to our entire group personally, that there was nothing up there but "magnificent desolation".

If one looks close enough to the second pic, he can clearly see bigfoot hidding out by those space trees.

Yep I see him, staring straight on into the camera flipping a bird.

You guys just associate Bigfoot with trees because of your Earth-centric viewpoints. On the moon, bigfoot mostly hangs in the castle overseeing the mining operations there. And as for the castle, yeah, WTF is that thing. Another favorite.

Oh, and if you want to see space trees you have to look on Mars ;)

In the full picture it looks like it could just be a scratch, but when zoomed in it is obviously an actual object catching light. Whatever it is, it must be HUGE to catch the sun when everything else around it is in darkness.

That is where my speculation ends though. I have no opinion on it's origin, only that it is definitely "weird".

Exactly. I wish some of these "researchers" would do the same. I think it is enough to point out there is some very real and very weird shit out there, but then they go spoil it all by rambleing on about NASA being Freemasons and Nazis and coverups, and death stars... On the other hand, I will admit that the official explainations seem awefully weak sometimes.

These guys (this guy) are some of my favorite propagandists, because they take all of that and push it so far to the extreme that you can hardly take them seriously. There are some interesting images in this video though, if you can sit through the "mind control" stuff:

A giant alien finger making an ancient Anglo-Saxon gesture?

That is because the aliens asked him to keep it secret...

Aw comon man! I got to shake his hand. You know what a big deal that is to a geek like me? He was a really cool. A damn American Hero in person!

And he punched that stalker conspiracy nutter in the face at age 72! Awesome!

There are a lot of images that people claim are alien spacecraft or structures on the moon.

I recently saw a video on YouTube where a loon claimed that a "RocketCam" filmed a "fast moving UFO" following the rocket. Well, the "ufo" was the first shock cone from the engine exhaust and, in the upper atmosphere, it was quite far away from the booster... but (of course) it FOLLOWED the rocket. As the rocket steered, the shock cone appeared to "move rapidly" around as the rocket gimbaled it's engine and thereby also moved the exhaust plume (and shock cone) around.

Other supposed "ufo" images are simply ice crystals coming off cold fuel or oxidizer tanks.

Concerning the first photo in Doc Gonzo's post, how can anyone determine that the "Castle" is 9 miles above the moon from a single (2D) image?

And, the "peculiar shading" of the moon is simply reflected sunlight, which reflects more off the part directly facing the sun. It's called "night" and "day".

Geez........

You actually met Dr. Aldrin? That is awesome. Closest I came was in 1999 at EAA... I saw the three AS-11 astronauts at the "Theater in the woods" show at night. Never had a chance to talk with them though. :(

They look a lot older than they do in the 1969 movies...

Very briefly. He was definitely one of the more personable guests at our studio. He's trying to push for a Mars mission right now, and has some really good ideas regarding the technical difficulties involved. The man is a true explorer. In his twilight and still pushing the limits of human endeavor.

Hit up that sight if you want to show your support!

As for "castle", I have no idea where they got those figures. All I'm willing to assume about the feature, is that it is anomalous, apparently quite huge, and tall beyond anything we've ever built. But is it just a geographical feature made possible by low gravity and the vacuum of space? I don't know. It is odd though, that something so massive and unique has completely escaped mention or any further study...

...as far as we know anyways...

This is the K-files so everything must be a conspiracy. ;)

It would be really cool to met him and shake his hand..

Admirable also!!

He would have an excellent grasp on the technical difficulties; he is not only an explorer, he is one intelligent individual.
