actually seems pretty cheap to me. those arent fmj's, theyre federal hydra-shocks.

typically the good pistol self defence rounds (hydra-shocks, gold dot, winchester sxt's, ect..) go for $1.00-$1.25/rnd.

Its still cheaper than a year of karate lessons.

I've had a hard time even finding some. FMJ all day, but almost zip for hollow points and when I do find the a 20 round box costs as much as 50 FMJ.

Wally World has 40S&W pretty cheap, Academe Sporting Goods does too....

I've noticed that although .45 target loads are much higher prices than 9mm target loads, premium self defense ammo costs about the same for .45 and 9mm.

I'd normally chime in with "load your own!" but the components have gone way up too...

I'm also glad I stocked up ahead of the mania and slowed down the shooting...

Glad the shtf scenario hasn't played out yet - but I fear we're still in for it - just a matter of time -they can't keep spending/printing to oblivion and continue to stave off the crash. Passed the point of no return long ago...
