A new poll finds former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie virtually tied in a potential 2016 matchup. Christie takes 43 percent in the Quinnipiac poll, compared with 42 percent for Clinton. Christie’s strength comes in part from his strong showing among independents: He leads among the group by 16 points, 48 percent to 32 percent. He also leads among men and white voters, and comes within 12 points of Clinton among Hispanic voters — far above 2012 GOP candidate Mitt Romney’s performance with that demographic. Clinton’s strength is with women (she leads 48 percent to 39 percent) and among black voters (77 percent to 12 percent).

Clinton has big leads against other possible GOP presidential contenders. She leads both Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) by 9 points, 49 percent to 40 percent, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) by 15 points, 51 percent to 36 percent.

I personally won't be placing any bets until the GOP and Jackass primaries have been decided.

I know, its pathetic. They've already coronated Queen Hitlery as the "chosen one."

I wouldn't be surprised if the GOP nominated some RINO like Christie or Rubio though, just like they did RINO McCain and Romney, since conservatives seem to like to split their votes between multiple candidates. Romney only had 30% of the vote in those early 2012 primaries, but of course he got the nod because conservatives couldn't settle on an alternative between Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Newt, and Spreading Santorum.

One thing's for certain though: whoever wins (D or R) will serve Wall Street and the big banksters' interests first and foremost. That much never fails.

Christie can't carry the primary. He is even worse than Romney and McCain.

Agree, he will be the next unelectable candidate from the party who doesn't listen to the people. I surely hope someone rises up and returns control of the republican party back to what it was before.

I thought Cruz was foreign born, thus ineligible to run for Pres. :oh:

Born in Canada, but his Parents were already naturalized USA citizens.

Mostly push polls at this stage... the press choosing our candidates...

Unfortunately the press chooses our candidates lately based on how much campaign money they have amassed, not how good a president they would make.

I've seen that argument both ways, but his office issued a legal standing on it... www.FreeRepublic.com has the background if you want to do the searches...
