The only time Israel sided with France was on the subject of Algerian independence ! Israel knew Algeria would go completely Islamic and have potential control of the Mediterranean . Kennedy supported independence and no nuclear weapons for Israel .....When asked about Dimona (Israel's nuclear program ) Ben-Gurian lied and said to Kennedy "it's for the study of Flora and Fauna !" JFK was not amused !!!
