The draw is some will eventually win. What many don't realize is on October 22, Mega Millions made it more difficult to take home the big prize. The odds, which were 1 in 176 million, are now 1 in 259 million. This is a product of the lottery company increasing the pool of numbers to choose from.

Previously, lottery players chose five numbers, ranging from one to 56. It's now one to 75, but the sixth, gold ball has fewer numbers from which to choose, as the pool decreased from 46 to 15.

Hell yeah, I'm in. Aside from the very steep stats against a win consider the stats associated with people that have won super jackpot lottos. 70% of the big winners end up broke in a handful of years after their big wins.

One of the greatest welfare money recovery ideas ever!

The gummint in the emperors' state gets almost as much welfare money back as McDees or the local pusher get.

I play the big jackpots. I used to play Lotto every draw but I gave that up. After 10 years of two bucks a week with zero wins, I gave it up.....chris3

Because there is one chance that you might hit the numbers.

A long time ago I took my wife to the emergency room, near death from the reaction to a chemo drug that was supposed to save her from the cancer that had invaded her body. She was in such poor condition that the doctors didn't expect her to survive the ER. To their surprise she did, but when I got to the ICU and saw what they were doing to keep her alive, I understood. One of the drugs she was on was being used to keep her heart beating so that when her family came to say goodbye, she was still "alive". After all the family is able to say goodbye, the drug is turned off, the patient normally dies and the family is glad they got there when they did. The drug is good for 10 days after which it becomes toxic to the patient so I had a small window to make a decision.

In short, the doctors told me that it was a billion to one she would survive. One of her vitals was so bad that they said nobody lives with a vital that bad. 10 days after the start of the death delaying drug, I had the nurses turn it off, and my wife's heart continued beating. 4 weeks later she awoke from the coma, and two weeks later she was released from the hospital and we got another 5 years together that the doctors said was a billion to one.

So if there is one chance in hell, and you can afford to throw away a buck, why not?

Never bought a lottery ticket in my life & never will.

If you want to piss your $$$ away, Vegas at least offers some entertainment while you do it, & the odds are better.
