If my memory is correct from demolition school, Detonation cord "burns" at 26,000 feet per second...yea that's fast

Pretty cool. They must be using one hell of a camera to catch all that.

Nice!

That pic captures the spirit of old school gunsnet.

That tree just fills my heart with the joy of Christmas every time you post it :)

I nominate it to be the official Gunsnet Christmas tree....let the tradition begin !

The tree was cool, but the slow motion sequences during the opening were what really caught my eye.

That's the way I remember it.

That would look even better if that tree had a variety of different crates of ammo under it.:2cents:

Actually spent more time making sure I didn't scratch anything getting them to stand like that than I did worrying about the setting. Agree boxes and single rounds scattered about would have been nice.

Just checked, I took that picture 6 years ago!

Damn, that was a nice tree!

Aknut, Maybe you should update it slightly. :)

Might have to make a new tree. Maybe with a TIGR as the main stalk, and this time keep track of what rifle is where! And a smattering of ammo and mags under the "tree".

I'll think about it a while and see what comes together. :D

The biggest problem is that most of them are safe queens, and are in the back of the safe. That long barrel Poly Tech AKS-223 is so buried I honestly think it would take a week to get it out safely! :smiley31:

yea nut! you probably got a 50 gun safe and have 300 guns packed into it with 10,000 rds of ammo in the corner of you kitchen.. get a bigger safe! like a walk in that would be nice. then you could hang every thing you have in a temp control room.... lol

Don't laugh, but I have looked into converting half my basement into a "safe room" so that I could hang some of my nicer prizes on the walls and better enjoy them. Money is the only thing stopping me as I found that the door alone, delivered and installed would run a little over $10K.

So I will put up with the 50 gun safe stuffed with 300 guns and other items. And that is just the safe "in the corner of the kitchen"! :smiley31:
