I've been out on Lake Michigan on a 40-ft Morgancraft sailboat when the wind was pushing the swells up to 10 ft or more. More like riding a roller-coaster than being in a boat. When you get back on shore it stiil feels like you're on the boat for some time. Pretty cool though.

Is that the same thing as a Morgan sailboat? Those I'm familiar with, not sure about Morgancraft.

I've noticed over the past few years that older, yet seaworthy, bluewater cruisers are at an all time low cost wise. This Obama economy has cratered used yacht prices. I've seed really decent 36-50 foot boats selling well under 50k.

I need to get the wife retired and sell the house! ;)
