I went with a Life membership in the NRA last year after Sandy Hook. Just recently I got an offer to upgrade to an Endowment member at a reduced rate, so I decided to go ahead and spend some of my tax return a little bit early.

For any other life members who are interested in throwing some more money at the NRA, you can call em, or go to www.NRA-2014.org to take advantage of the deal, till march 7th.

Looks like $300 to upgrade a life membership or $500 to give a life membership. I might have to give one to my wife this year.

Great post. I have been in the NRA for, well a very long time. I have been a Patron for years. We need more members to become NRA Certified Instructors. That is where you can make a difference.

They make you enter your member ID and zip code before seeing the offer, so it may be a different price for different people in different areas.

They've also got 1-year gift memberships for $20. Those are a great way to get someone involved in the NRA for the first time. Buy one for that gun owner you know who says hes going to pay up but never does.

Congrats, I did the endowment thing in 1966. Only other thing I could spend my GI dollars on barked at penicillin!
