Tell ya what I'm thinkin' of here Ready. I'm about to begin an AR project. Maybe CQB in nature. I want to be able to use the thing without; changing stock weld, shifting fire control hand, or losing sight picture. This includes reloading, charging the rifle, clearing type 3 malfunctions, and so forth. I think if everything is ambidextrous and I machine the left side of the receiver to tap the bolt with a handle, it'll happen.

Sounds good. Make sure you post pics of the finished product. Hopefully if you get a type 3 malfunction, you're close to cover though. You don't want to be out in the open tryin' to clear that. Keeping your sight picture isn't going to do much good in that case, the bad guy is gonna know you're jammed up if he sees you rippin' your mag out and workin' your bolt like a mad man. You might be better off pretending you're still functional until you get somewhere safe. Or, switch to a back up if it's available and practical.

Had one on my space gun in the early 90's, or something very similar. Made slowfire at 600 much more pleasant.

Thanks Newb,

Yeah, I like Magpul stuff. But the left side bolt handle will hit the top of the release, so it has to be relieved; the MP BAD is a screw on, the relief would go through screws, while the Phase 5 is a solid piece and will tolerate the relief cut.
