What these tasty morsels are is Cohiba Siglo IV's and H Upmann #2's. :cigarsmoking::martinismiley:

Now I gotta decide which one to try first, both are outside of my experience.

Matt, are you familiar with the Siglo IV?

Familiar? Not intimately. Just his brother...

That's a pretty cool photo.

I guess what I'm wondering is: will this have a similar flavor profile to say an Esplendido?

I'm looking forward to your impressions of both of those bad boys.

I'm going to try one of the Siglo IV's tonight. Think I'm going to pair it with a glass of Angels Envy. Or, I've got a jug of Evan Williams Single Barrel that would work well to. :think2:

What a coincidence...I just ran across a box of Monte Cristo Edmundos that somebody lost on my front porch. Looks like it's raining Habanos today.

Maybe if I start going to Church more often, it will. :biggrina:

What packaging type did you get with the Edmundos?

Its seems like for many Cuban's theres at least two, sometimes three, different packaging types for the same cigar.

You see traditional boxes, three packs in another cardboard box, and bundled in either cardboard or narrow tall wood boxes.

These sticks I got today show two types.

3 sticks to a small box, 5 boxes total to make up a larger box of 15. All esconced in a heavy vinyl wrapper bag.

Yep. My Monte #2's were packaged like that and I've gotten Epi #2's in multiple 3 packs too.

As you probably noticed they don't tell you up front what the packaging will be. The 3 packs are the same sticks as those that go into traditional boxes.

Nothing I need to worry about. :)

Well, I'm about 2/3 of the way through this Siglo IV. Its good, classic flavor profile you expect from a Cohiba. Coffee, chocolate, cedar, bit of baking spices, and a myriad of other hints at flavor that come and go.

Damn fine smoke. :)

Oh, I paired this with a glass of 4 Roses, was a last second choice.

Gonna burn another Siglio IV here in a minute. Gonna pair it with a glass of Elijah Craig. :)
