No, not at the store, in your whiskey cabinet! And by always I mean most of the time. You know the stuff you just don't wish to not have around anytime the mood strikes to have a pour of....X.

For me these days its been Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig and 4-Roses. I think now it would be safe to add Old Grand Dad and something by Weller too. I also like to keep an Evan Williams product on hand, be it the single barrel, BIB, whatever. :)

You?

OGD114, RittRyeBIB, Willett Rye 4 year old(or 5) year old.
Usually have a Weller 12 or Weller Antique around as
my daughter likes a wheater.

Gosh, how could I forget Rittenhouse? Oh the humanity.

I always have a 1.75 of Evan black, some Glenlivet 12, Usually a Weller or two, Elijah Craig 12 if not 18. Moving forward I will endeavor to keep Elmer T. Lee and/or Russell's Reserve on hand. Today its a Cohiba Red Dot Toro and some Dickel rye.

I'm down to the 3rd 3rd of this Cohiba. Nice smoke. The Dickel is struggling to impress me. Its ok but...not really a player. I really hate to sound like a whisky snob but I just know what I like. I make no apologies.

Have you tried the Bulleit rye?

Yes. As I understand it, the primary difference is the chill filtering of the sourced spirit from MGP. Its 95% rye 5% malt barley.

Yes. What we don't know about either is how long they spent in an oak barrel, that would change things too obviously.

Is 114 hard to come by in your area? Hell, you can buy it in convenience stores here.

I'll bet that Taylor comes from a 53 gallon barrel. ;)

I hope not. Cases are 12 . Think you need to try the Taylor when in Kentucky. The barrel proof is sweet
