I'll tell ya, this is a great pairing.
I've rambled on about the Epi-2 enough already, so I'll focus on the Weller Antique.
WA as many of you know is a wheater from Buffalo Trace. As far as I can tell its the same juice as the Special Reserve, but at a higher proof point. No idea about rick house selection or any of that.
The main flavor points are burnt sugar, cinnamon, smoke and a hint of mint/citrus. I really, really like this stuff and would suggest it to anyone who likes a wheat bourbon with some punch. I much prefer the Weller whiskeys to Makers or Larceny. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the Weller 12 year. I can only imagine how good that stuff must be. :running-dog:
