The FBI said Monday evening it had arrested Ryan Chamberlain, the San Francisco media consultant who became the focus of a nationwide manhunt after agents allegedly found explosives in his apartment Saturday.

After Chamberlain had posted an apparent suicide note on his Facebook page earlier in the day, a witness reported seeing police and federal agents make the arrest around 6 p.m. at a cafe near Crissy Field.

“He looked pretty surprised and frantic. He was asking for help,” said Morgan Manos, an Uber driver who witnessed the arrest and recognized Chamberlain from media photos. “He saw me recording (with a video camera) and asked me for help.”

Manos said Chamberlain was wearing shorts, a sweatshirt and a beanie. “They took him down hard,” Manos said about the arrest.

So this case in SF make me wonder if the guy was going to expose something the fedz didn't want exposed or what. The fed story is "he posted a suicide note on fb", and so as a routine suicide threat investigation, you know how the fbi calls out hazmat and swat and EOD every time someone threatens to off themselves on fb, they had a nationwide manhunt for the suicidal. They must do this a few hundred times a week in every city in the USA. Keeping America safe.

Geez, the news is goofy. I heard a report on the radio that he had been apprehended at the golden gate bridge. Crissy field is not that close to the bridge, i was a army brat and my dad was an aircraft mechanic stationed there when the Presidio was the 6th army headquarters

I looked at the area on google earth last night, the housing we lived in is still there. Your right everything does look pretty close, but not how i remember it as an 11 year old kid on a bike. :)

Used to go down to the marina to watch the kites, thought that was miles and miles away from our house.
