I believe the Chrysler version dates back to 1988 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turboencabulator.

I knew it was bs because they made no mention of the chrome reverse muffler bearing.

Are you insane?!? Putting a chrome reverse muffler bearing on a Turbo encabulator would cause an ever increasing variance in the echo field generator's output, causing a massive instability in the field which could literally tear holes in the space time continuum.

You really want to go with the black powder coated...plus it just looks cooler, and black powder coating adds up to a 5% increase in horsepower*

*Actual results may vary, figure taken from a study conducted in a local auto parts store, none of the people participating looked too bright, actual results may be best described as mild to moderate to perhaps non-existent. All warranties and claims to liability waived by installation of product. No purchase necessary,...seriously, this is not a necessary purchase.

No worries, crisis averted.

Obviously you don't want to be "that guy" who ripped apart time and space

What it needs is a short saying to help you remember, you know like they do with "Loosy goosy, rightly tightly"..or "cut twice, measure thrice".

Perhaps something easy to remember like "Chrome causes an ever increasing variance in the echo field generator's output, leading to a massive instability in the field which could literally tear holes in the space time continuum, black doesn't...when relating to the use of reverse muffler bearings in a turbo encabulator in GM products"

That should be easy enough to remember for next time ;)
