Braveheart's an interesting story but not completely accurate. The queen would have been about 4yrs old at the time and the queer king had a iron poker shoved up his bum by his subjects so their "romance" was out of time and place, but Wallace's gf was actually murdered by the Brits to antagonise him. This lead to his rampage. When they finaly got him, they castrated him, drug him behind a cart for miles, and then finaly drawn and quartered. But yes, Gibson does make fine anti-Brittish films.

There is some debate on whether Edward II was really gay or if he didn't trust his wife at all. Needless to say Edward II and Queen Isabel are my 21st great grandparents on my dads side through Edward III. On my mom's side I go back to Isabel through her estranged lover Richard Mortimer. Edward III had him killed after his father was assassinated. Also Edward III destroyed the home village of another branch of my mother's family in the 100 years war.
