ISIS militants have reportedly been talking about invading the United States through the border with Mexico, a United States official warned this week.

Speaking before a Senate committee, the under secretary for intelligence and analysis at the Department of Homeland Security said militants have been caught on social media discussing ways to infiltrate the United States.

“There have been Twitter and social-media exchanges among ISIL adherents across the globe speaking about that as a possibility,” said Francis Taylor in response to a question from Senator John McCain, an Arizona Republican.

Taylor added that the ISIS invasion talk wasn’t too much of a threat, and that he was “satisfied that we have the intelligence and the capability at our border that would prevent that activity.”

There could be major problems if ISIS planned to invade the United States through Mexico. U.S. officials say that the Mexican drug cartels controlling the region are defensive of their turf, especially regarding threats that could bring the United States government and its firepower to their lucrative drug-smuggling territory.

Meanwhile on the border with Canada......

Canadian Illegally Crossing U.S. Border Gets Arrested, Fined $5K, 'Expedited Removal'
A Canadian who illegally crossed the border this week was fined $5,000 for breaking U.S. law, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reports. At $5,000 a pop, that could add up to significant revenue if the government fined all those who have illegally entered the U.S.

On the afternoon of Sept. 7, a U.S. Border Patrol agent from the Houlton Sector arrested a 44 year-old male Canadian citizen for illegally entering the United States south of the Notre Dame, Canada border crossing area.

Because the Canadian entered the U.S. without lawful inspection, he was assessed a $5,000 civil penalty under 19 USC 1459 for Failure to Report. He will not have to go through a judicial process and will have approximately 30 days to pay the fine.

The citizen of Canada (Lebanese national) was returned to Canada on an expedited removal via the Woburn, Quebec, port of entry.

A 40 year-old U.S. citizen was also arrested that day on the same charge and assessed the same $5,000 fine before being released on his own recognizance.

I think the cartels would guide them across for a fee. BUT, if the islamasts decided to stick around and/or start to convert the locals, there'd a one heck of a shoot out.

First, the Canadian should have sailed down the coast of the US, gone into Mexico and then come in from the south. There would not have been a problem.

We need to tell the Mexican drug groups that if ISIS/ISIL or what ever the heck those murdering thugs want to call themselves take over parts of the US, the drug money would dry up as they would never buy their drugs from infidels. That should get the cartels to fight along side us, if not lead the fight considering how much money they would lose.
