Getting a swede mauser to shoot cast bullet loads is a snap - as long as you stay under about 1600 fps.
I tried pushing gas checked bullets to 2000 fps and got really crappy accuracy.
Anybody sucessfully load higher velocity hardcast bullet loads? If so, give us the details!
I will have to pass on pushing lead through my Swede's. I drive them 6.5's with a lot of RL22 for range. On another note the 6.5 has taken a lot of big game including the big four with heavy round nose pills. Post some 100, 200 and 300 yard shots when you get a chance.
Cheers

C'mon guys- no takers? :D
It's not easy to do. There are some "tricks" that will give good results - or so I understand...
As good as the Swedes are shooters you'd think they'd take to 2000 fps cast boolit loads just fine... I guess it's the fast twist rate?
I tried sizing the boolits .266" - 150 grain... to no avail.

Well at least you were man enough to try it which is pretty cool.
