I did some reloading this weekend. I loaded up 200 .38 specials yesterday and 400 .45acp today. I don't have the shell plate for the .38's so I loaded those on my single stage and loaded the .45's on the progressive press.
2 observations;
1. A progressive press is so much nice than a single stage, if you count effort per round it is much more efficient. The .38 takes 3 pulls to load a round, re-sizing and de-capping, flaring, and seating and crimping. I also have to prime them all in a separate operation. The progressive makes for one pull, one round.
2. Whom ever decided that it was ok to make .45 acp cases with small primer pockets is an asshole.
