These are the same purported environmentalists and green freaks!
A blatant disregard of simple things and these people care for what?

http://dailycaller.com/2010/10/03/liberal-one-nation-working-together-rally-leaves-lincoln-memorial-ridden-with-trash-much-dirtier-than-glenn-becks-restoring-honor-rally/

The liberal “One Nation Working Together” rally in Washington Saturday was a trashy affair — much trashier than Fox News host Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally held at the end of August, at least according to one member of the clean-up crew who worked both events.

As the ralliers began to disperse from the “One Nation” rally around 4 p.m., one thing was immediately clear: the area around the Lincoln Memorial had become a landfill.

Fast food remnants littered the area below the Memorial. Empty water bottles were omnipresent as were discarded stick-mounted signs. The limited park-provided trash bins were almost works of art. The trashcan heaps bursting upwards looked like images of volcanoes caught mid-eruption, to say nothing of the areas surrounding the bins. Pompeii never had a chance.

A large part of the problem was lack of trash can/recycling capacity. They were all over-flowing, and while rally attenders mostly deposited trash near or around the recepticles, naturally some of it did get tracked around. They obviously didn't anticipate that big of crowd. Better planning could have definitely gone into it.

The most disgusting bits of "trash" were the American flags dropped on the ground, left for trash by these fine patriots. Just as PETA cares nothing for the animals they purport to champion, environmentalists/greens are the first to trash their environment at every turn, fully expecting someone else to clean up after them. The hypocrisy is as blindingly bright as a supernova sun, yet they fail to see it. Blinders and rose-colored glasses are inadequate to explain it...

What a crock of shit, receptacle nearby or otherwise. Since such receptacles are distributed in given places at all times, how do you explain the cleanliness after Beck's rally (with four times the crowd, if not more), given the same trash receptacles in the same positions, as opposed to this one.

And if these folk are so damned concerned about the environment, so damned green, why didn't they carry their trash out with them...you know, like hunters, campers and sportsman have done for decades in places where there were no trash receptacles?

Another major FAIL for those who are supposed to care about the earth, just as you're a major FAIL at something resembling a responsible human being.

Well, you're assuming Beck's crowd was "four times as many" which I dispute. Furthermore, didn't Glenn Beck specifically say he didn't want his fans to bring any sort of political signs or pickets, possibly out of fear of mis-spelled words making a mockery of the gathering, that are so common amongst other teabagger protests?

You're assuming that most were environmental activists, when that clearly was not the case. Sure, there might have been some there, but the majority were labor and gay rights proponents, NOT environmentalists. Of all the rally coverage I saw, I didn't see any signs concerned with global warming, or any environmental themes at all for that matter. I think you're simply making blanket assumptions about the group, just because most enviros happen to lean left, politically. That's not what the rally was about.

Regardless of the size, whether you dispute it or not. Let's assume Beck's was smaller (even though we both know that's a lie), so why were the grounds clean after Beck's rally, filthy after the filthy commie rally? There were plenty of signs at Beck's rally, misspelled or otherwise, why weren't they left all over the ground. There have been multiple Tea Party rallies over the last year...all of them left the grounds clean. Show me picks of one where the lefty trash (lying dirtbags like you) left it as clean, or even nearly as clean...

Guess what, there aren't any.

So you're saying the left has no cohesion, no responsible leadership, no coordinated goals?

What a surprise...

Just a bunch of dirty hippies looking for handouts, drugs and a free lunch. They don't care about anything they protest for, they protest for what...a free lunch? A handout? Anything so they don't have to stand up for themselves, accept responsibility? Okay, I'll believe that. Just like you, they're useless wastes upon society, freeloaders, reprobates whose only use is as useful idiots, never made a contribution to the human race. Yeah, I can believe that.

Where are the pics of the useless, shiftless, spineless commie rally that show they had a better turnout than Beck? Where are they you lying sack of rat shit? An uber leftist internet jedi like you ought to be able to produce at least one...where is it?

Don't try to BS us with that line. The organizers were expecting at least 170,000, double the Beck Rally, at least that is what one of the organizers said. After the event, he claimed a 175,000 crowd, via a satellite photo that has yet to surface anywhere! So the blame for the lack of trash recepticals fall clearly on the organizers for not providing them. The permit requires an estimate of the crowd size for a number of reasons. Unless they put down a small number!

Well, you're assuming Beck's crowd was "four times as many" which I dispute. You are amazing! You defend and make excuses for the libs, even become delusional over crowd size despite mounting evidence, as reported by the MSM, and even throw little attacks back to divert from the topic. Then, first chance you get, you throw out derogatory insults, as per the liberal gamebook. Grow up!!!

Who gives a shit about who or what they were, you are sounding real nit-picky. One common thread here is a good portion of rally attendies were blatently littering, at the Capital/Lincoln Memorial! That is a disturbing amount of disrespect. Do you find this behavior acceptable? Do you litter? Might as well go take a dump on your neighbors couch!
You know, I thought that you were at least exploring both sides but you have proven otherwise.

What a surprise...

Leftist, progressive, tree-hugger, green earth, stop the rape of the planet types left a huge nonleftist, nonprogressive, nontree-hugger, nongreen earth, non-stop the rape of the planet, giant flaming mess in the wake of their leftist, progressive, tree-hugger, green earth, stop the rape of the planet rally...

The hypocrisy is evident, in huge swaths about the concourse...

But of course, according to lefty, none of these people care about that...they were there for other reasons...

What were those again?

There are no trash bins where I go camping, hunting, fishing, etc., yet I do not leave trash behind. It's not that hard to "pack out" any trash you may bring with you. Littering is laziness, easy as that.

I bet the trash came from the organizers hoping 100,000 would show up and printing a huge amount of signs, when 25,000 showed up that meant 3 out of 4 signs had no one to carry it so it was left behind.

THEN PACK IT OUT WITH YOU!!!

I don't care who you are, at a park you clean up your freaking mess.

And if you are at a park with major historic national monuments to our fallen...good lord!

Spokesmen for the National Park Service and “One Nation Moving Forward” said that the pictures and videos of garbage taken by conservative bloggers and websites, as well as The Daily Caller, are a misrepresentation of the liberal rally.

“I consider [The Daily Caller’s article] to be highly inaccurate,” said a very forceful NPS spokesman, Bill Line.

“To imply that this past weekend’s event is more dirty, contains more trash or is filthier than any other demonstration is not grounded in reality.”

Wishing to counter smears against Tea Partiers as well as paint liberals as irresponsible hypocrites, conservative blogs and websites have been merciless in their documentation, ridicule and condemnation of trash left by attendees of the “One Nation” rally at the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.

“They should have planned more,” said the only person TheDC could find cleaning up on the Mall on Sunday. “There should have been a clean-up crew.”

The man, who didn’t want to be identified by name, went on to say that he also helped clean up after Fox host Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally in August and said there was a distinct difference in how much trash was on the Mall after that rally and the state of the Mall after the “One Nation” rally.

“I was at the other one too,” he said. “So I’ve seen both. I know the difference.”

Flo McAffe, a member of One Nation’s communications department said that one could find equally beautiful photos and images of the rally; it all depends on your point of view

“If someone goes and makes a specific point, if there’s a point you want to make, you can take a photograph of that point,” she said. “Now whether or not that photograph was of the rally or some of the signs there or … trash,” that too could be captured on film, she said.

Conservative bloggers have made pains to contrast the general cleanliness of Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally last month with Saturday’s rally and have used the images as an indictment against liberals.

Line, however, was adamant in his disagreement of such assessments.

“This trash you have on [TheDC’s] front page could be found at any other large rally that has happened previously at the Mall and could happen in the future,” said Line.

Line said the garbage at the “One Nation” rally was no different than any other rally. Trash, it seems, is apolitical.

“It is common, typical, regular ordinary, commonplace. You get the idea?” said Line. “It’s very commonplace with ANY rally, march demonstration, anywhere on the Mall where you have large numbers of people.”

McAffee said that was her understanding as well and that “our rally was no different” than any other rally. To make distinctions “is creating a story that probably doesn’t exist,” she said.

According to Line, the majority of the clean-up was conducted by the NPS with help from a “One Nation” crew. McAffe said that there was indeed a “logistics team,” which assisted with clean up. However, McAffe said specific numbers were difficult to specify as the team was covering various aspects of the rally and it included several days of volunteers.

http://dailycaller.com/2010/10/04/national-park-service-and-one-nation-moving-forward-say-saturday-rally-no-messier-than-other-rallies/

The only reason Glenn Beck's rally was so clean was because he purposefully told his attendees not to bring any sort of signs or posters. People came there just to listen to the speeches, there weren't so many other political groups passing out fliers and what not.

Trash was no worse than any other rally, according to the National Park Service. And they DID clean it all up afterwards, volunteers and all. Sounds like someone's making a big deal out of nothing.

LAGC, you realise the article contradicts itself when they calim "Glen Becks rally was os clean because", and then say "this rally was not dirtier than any other.

They just gave an example of one it was dirtier than, right beofe they made the claim.

This isn't just falacious, it's downright stupid. Kind of like you.

It is always someone else....

Are you sure it wasn't Bush's fault??

There ain't no excuse for trashing the National Mall....

After 0bamacare, the deficit and a 50% income tax increase for the lowest tax bracket; and all the rest....

Trust me, there wasn't a need to tell anyone in America that when the Left is involved "Better planning could have definitely gone into it"

Regardless of how many trash cans are around there is no excuse to leave your trash, especially in a park like this. I can't count the times I have carried my trash until I found a place to deposit it.

I also agree with comments above, if the Beck rally left trash everywhere you can guarantee it would have been all over the news. I'm not surprised that a liberal site spreads lies and deceit, it's pretty much the only way for leftists to get support, lie to stupid people and get them to believe what you say, reality makes no difference, right and wrong make no difference, all that matters is they get people to believe their lies.
