THese sights are usually old and "used up". Also if you are going from a normally lit room and expecting to see the glow by just running in to the bathroom with the door shut you won't.

BUT, if in the middle of the night you wake up and flip up those sights, they may be bright enough to use. As your eyes will have gotten used to the dark.

I can get a set for 90 dollars. too much. I 'll use testor's enamel model paint, white, will work fine.
hell maybe I will use silver or gold.

Well first you put your finger on the choke, flick you bic, place the flame in the bowl of the pipe while inhaling. Once you feel smoke coming in you let off the choke and get a large hit of it all at once...

Oh, you meant your night sights... Yeah, Tritium (the substance used for those night sights) dies over time like uranium (it is also radioactive like uranium). Best bet is new production Tritium sights or use the glow in the dark paint like Funky showed ya. That stuff will also wear out over time, but you can always repaint your sights easier and cheaper than you can buy new tritium sights.
