I tuned out of SNL a very long time ago.

edit to add an additional thought. At one time comedians poked fun at those in power, whom ever they were. Now, they just poke fun at conservatives and those that admire/adhere to traditional values. It's just not funny, it's a never ending assault.

Stopped a long time ago. Every person that watches and gives them ratings is more PERCIEVED support for the stands they take shutting on Americans. SNL is the reason John McCain lost.

Remember Sarah Palin being able to see Russia from her house? Except that wasn't Sarah who said that, it was Tina Fey.

But everyone thought it was really Sarah who said something that dumb, as if that made her some foreign policy expert. Yet that widely-held perception dragged McCain down clear up until Election Day 2008. Poll after poll showed the decline from a dead-heat race, ever since the week that SNL skit ran.

It went from comedy in the 70-80s to cue card reading.....
They use to "practice" for a week and then do the show. Now its like they are seeing the cue cards for the first time once they are in front of the camera.
Its no where near acting, just choppy, bad, 8th grade reading.
