If you're looking for soemthing different for breakfast, how about some shired eggs governor?

This is an old English recipe. I use a microwave dish - small bowl. Preheat oven to 375. Melt some butter in it to coat the dish - crack in two or three eggs. Salt and pepper to taste and top off with a good amount of grated parmeasan cheese. Bake till eggs are firm or less - to taste.

Good stuff.

Here's some with bacon bits added: (from google)

Looks interesting. Are the eggs beaten at all or left alone? About how long of a cook time is that?

There is always a food thread that gets rated and bacon add's to the rating system...
You would have lost points for lack of knife, wife, rifle and/or pistol.

Oh.

As to the prep - you just melt butter in the oven-safe bowl, crack your eggs - no whipping or anything, add the salt and pepper and top with the grated parmesean cheese. I don't know if that one pictured has parmesean or some other kind of cheese...

Bake about 10 minutes - depending on how you like your eggs - soft, or hard.
