Ran across a few 110, 111 & 112's today when I was looking for some other stuff. Decided to give them a little TLC and post some pictures. A little bit of everything.

I really like those knives. I think i will keep my eye open for one. They are really nice looking

Thanks for the compliment. The older Bucks are some of my favorites, especially the 110 and 112's. The blade profiles and handle shapes have changed over the years as well as the steels. Nothing wrong with the 420HC that Buck uses today but the older ones with the 440C and 425M steels are nice as well. In fact the 440C buck used is one of my favorites. You'd be surprised what some of the early versions are bringing, price wise especially if you can find them NIB. I'm always on the look out for a nice 2 or 3 dot model.

What do the dots signify?
More or less they denote some change with the model. They also can provide a date range as we know a two dot, one on each side of the BUCK stamp was used between 1974-80

Thanks for the link. I've got a few with the finger grooves but only on the 110, don't care for them on the shorter 112. That's not to say that if I ran across an older 112 with finger grooves I wouldn't acquire it. Except for club knives, Buck Custom Shoppe and limited editions I don't purchase a lot the newer Buck 110/112's.

Some 300 series Bucks in brown jigged bone. These are kind of scarce along with a red bone version.

Buck 620 and a 120.

I have a buck hunting knife similar to the lower one, but I don't think the blade is as long. I don't have a picture of it and as I was getting ready to travel I didn't have time to get a picture. I also have an engraved 110 that is packed away. Someday I will be able to unpack it a post a picture. It is pretty nice. I also have another 110 that was passed to me when my father died. It has an engraved handle but my father kept it in a humid location and the brass corroded. I have cleaned it up but it definitely does not look as good as it used to.

Sweet bucks, as usual.

The ones which stand out to me are the 111, the 120, and especially the stacked leather 119.

I have a "collectors" case knife that looks like your Buck 300's with jigged bone.

It might be a 119. If you look at the second photo I posted with the stacked leather 119 and the B&C 120 you can see the similarities between the 119 blade and the 120. The 120 is just a larger version of the 119. If you ever get a chance to dig them out and post some photos I'd love to see them.

Here you can see clearly the stainless steel spacer. My other 112 is definitely brass.

And the only detecting feature. This is why i will be actually carrying and using this one. I am actually glad it had a blemish so it won't end up a drawer queen. Have no idea what B-Caps means

Buck used the three dots to mark the 110 & 112 between 1980-81 but the two dots are normally on the right side of the model # with the one dot on the left side. Yours is reversed. Also the > is the year stamp for 1987. Buck dropped the dots when it when to the year stamps in 1986. Your knife shouldn't have both. Like I said, it's a rare one and one I'll have to do some serious digging to see if I can get you some more info. I'll also see if I can figure out what the B-CAPS stands for. Congrats on another great score.

I don't know where you scored this latest gem but if they have any more Bucks you might consider a return visit. Any time you run across something shoot me some photos and I'll do my best to tell you what I can before you buy.

B-CAP is trademarked in Canada and seems to involve some type of electrical supplies.

It's possible your 112 could be some type of marketing give away or promotional item. I've seen similar Bucks marked with John Deere, Champion (think spark plugs), etc. Given the Canada connection it seems at least plausible.

honestly they are just random finds. I wanted an older one for while. Never seeing them and then all of a sudden after i broke down and just bought a brand new one the old ones started showing up everywhere. Its a fun hobby and a lot more affordable then buying mausers :)

I have some at home with me, so here are some pictures. First, the 119 that my wife got me for a present about 2 years ago.

Next, is a 110 that my father gave me. He got it from a contracting company in Oregon. I tried to take pictures of the blade but they didn't turn out. There are 2 dots on either side of the 110.
