Is it true this month has 5 full weekends , fri. , sat. , sun.

This hasn't happened in 800 years ....

I did zero investigation on this , my disclaimer and up-front notice !!!

Uh... might be the first October in awhile that has had five 3-day weekends, but any 31-day month beginning with Friday on the 1st will have the same pattern.

Do you have a Windows PC?

Look at the lower right-hand corner in your systray for the calendar function. And indeed we do have 5 full weekends this month.

As Jan, May, July and October 2010 all had 5 weekends I can see you did zero investigation.. ;)

Actually, to give printerman credit, he did say five FULL weekends, with 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. While still rare, it happens a lot more often than every 800 years. Try every 11 years:

"it happened in 1982, 1993, 1999, 2010, and will happen again in 2021"

If you use Windows, you can easily verify this by double-clicking on the time-clock on the lower-right hand corner of your screen and cycling through the years keeping the month on October. I just did it and found it happened in 2004 also. It will also happen in October 2094 when we'll all be dead.
