In cooler weather where I can carry OWB I carry a 1911 at about 4 oclock.

During the winter I carry my Colt in a shoulder rig. If I'm out in the brush I have a holster for it.

I carry a Spartan V from STI. I have a kydex holster that a buddy gave me that I wear inside the waistband. Pretty comfortable and never had any issues with printing. I'm not a huge guy (5'11", 230lbs) but it I am bigger then most of the guys I work with. Now that I am in Florida, however, I have been thinking about getting a smaller pistol to carry. I would love to get a Makarov, but I have to save up the money first.

for the slimness of a makarov I'd go with a Kahr CW , thats what i use.

I carry a full size 1911 all the time.

I use to quite a lot, but then I got a Glock 19 and haven't used my 1911 much since then.
