Depending on caliber, amount and the price for scrap you might be better off selling or trading it to someone who does reload. Some places will take your old brass in trade for loaded ammo. I think Georgia Arms does or did something like that.

Thanks Richard. I prolly have close to 50 lbs. of 9mm, 40, 45, 223, 308.
I will call Ga. Arms and ask.

yeah, sell it for brass. scrap is way down now anyway, and ammo is still up. ive got several lifetimes of brass in many calibers myself.

I did some asking around and I believe Georgia arms only does brass trade-in if you bring it to a gun show they are attending. That makes sense otherwise you'd be paying to ship your brass to them which would really cut down on any savings you would get on the loaded ammo.

You could also look at offering it for sale or trade on any local or regional gun sites like Gun List or post a notice at your local range.

Villa Rica is only an hour or so away. So if they would take it for trade what would I get? Brass is running 1.50 a lb. and I just weighed
it at 63 lbs. I hate to say but it is prolly worth more to me to scrap it at the local yard, 15 min. away than to take a what ever in trade.
But I will ask. If you were going to trade for ammo, would you go for the exotic or what?

There is about 180 shell casings of .357 Sig if anyone wants to give me a little money
and pay for shipping from 30094 Ga.

But would you go reg. or something exotic if you could trade. You know .500 nitro, .458, .50 cal., .375,
what do you think?

Scraped it on 9/11. Damn ended up being 89 pounds! Wow no wonder it felt heavy, I really didn't like to do
it, it felt like a waste, but I had no where to store it and I needed the cash.
Life can be........
