I think they need to just quit. The magazine had a good run, no change will seriously do them any good. But that douche at the end who essentially suggests we men don't dig a nice bare rack... What a fgt.

With millions of boobs available to gawk at on the internet for free, Playboy and similar magazines are obsolete. And let's face it: Only a tiny fraction of Playboy subscribers/purchasers bought the magazine to actually read the lame articles.

meh..........

I'd take a Hustler VS airbrushed wannabe models.

QUICK !!! Somebody needs to tell them that we have been lying all these years. We don't buy the magazine just for the articles...

Maybe if they "opened up" and showed a bit more than what I can see on the TV show Naked and Afraid.

Isn't Maxim already what Playboy wants to do?

No... America is dead. At least the America we were born into.

Yes, and Maxim's sales aren't what they were in the late '90s - early '00s. There used to be several of the Maxim-type "lad's mags" (as they are referred to in Britain where the genre originated) available in the US. Except for Maxim, the US versions all folded around ten years ago (even the strongest competitor, FHM magazine). Playboy is about two decades late to the party, and even the last-man-standing in the genre, Maxim, is in trouble.

The Playboy concept (soft porn print magazine) is obsolete. Bottom line, "naked girls" is the Playboy concept. You can get naked girls anywhere now. Dead concept.

Without naked girls, all you have is the Playboy name, entertainment/lifestyle articles, and lefty politics in commentary and interviews. The Playboy name has been irrelevant for two decades. They will be competing with Maxim in another sinking genre with the entertainment/lifestyle articles. Lefty print media is faring even worse than the original Playboy concept (see Newsweek).

Playboy's days are numbered.

I am very afraid you are right!

Stick a fork in em, they're done!

Seriously the concept IS obsolete. All printed medium is obsolete. You can't publish hard copy fast enough to be relevant. Only Fiction / Novels are still viable as hard copy printed reading material.

I preferred a magazine called High Society. Man they had some really hot spreads in that one.

I won't miss all those plastic boobs at all. I wonder if all the Playboy mags I have stashed in the garage from the 60s, and 70s will go up in value...
